Take to the streets of Bow with documentary photographer Sylvie Belbouab, exploring how spaces and places connect with the air we breathe, all through the lens of your camera phone.

Join Caroline for a guided tour of the exhibition exploring the data, the role of knitting as a medium of communication, and the remarkable community effort that unfolded over three years resulting in the work exhibited.

Knitting meet-up: Knit air quality data with us
Join the knitters and try your hand at knitting air quality data from Poplar. We’ll be knitting new data gathered by Breathe London Community sensors to explore how air pollution has changed over time.  All abilities welcome, including complete beginners. All materials provided.

Workshop: Collage with Matt Ponting 
Discover nature, plants, and the air we share through collage. Led by Matt Ponting, on a short walk leaves will be drawn and gathered, exploring their shapes, colours, and stories. Bright collaged artworks will be made from these which reflect the impact of the air and sound pollution on the plants around us and what that means for our health. Suitable for all the family.

Workshop: Drawing nature with Matt Ponting 
Investigate the natural ecosystems and histories of two local green spaces, and the impact on them of air and sound pollution through observational art making with Matt Ponting. From initial sketching, you’ll create watercolour and text artworks reflecting on the impact of the local urban environment on nature.

The Nunnery Gallery has step-free access throughout from street level, including to the accessible toilet, and is service animal friendly. This venue does not have a hearing loop system. Accessible parking is not available on-site but blue badge parking can be found 500m away on Fairfield Road.
